I GREW UP IN WATAUGA COUNTY ON THE OLD YARBER HOME PLACE THAT MOSES YARBER RESEVED FOR BEING A SOLDIER IN THE WAR OF 1812 HE CAME TON THE MOUNTAIN FROM SC. SOME TIME AFTER THE WARMY GRAND FATHER WAS THE ONLY YARBER MALE TO STAY IN THAT AREAMOST OF MOSES CHILDREN MOVEDTO VA. BROUND ABINGTON CHILHELI VA i was borned 1n 1927 folks didnt travel much didnt have the mode fo travel as we do today my dads cousin would come an visit with us a few fimes when iwas small his father was uncle bill thnk he passed on bifori was borned a melvin came one sumer with his famly wfie & two dughters must have ben 1923 idont remember which yarber was his father i think it uncle moses who i think lived around kingsport
