Hi Pete,
Thanks for the rapid and generous reply. I have a couple more questions. What are the names of the father of William Yardley (the Quaker), and of his possible mother and/or stepmother?I've had situations in research on other families when I have known who the person's grandparents were, but not his/her parents. Very frustrating.
I know that Thomas Yardley, Sr., in Staffordshire, had a son Richard (baptized in Horton 29 Dec. 1681), and I had assumed he was the Richard who appeared in Bucks County along with Thomas, Jr. (or arriving a little later). If Richard arrived in Pennsylvania a LOT later than Thomas, Jr., then he was probably the son of Samuel instead (the younger Richard baptized in Horton 25 August 1710). Why do you think it was the younger man?
Thanks again,
Richard Sears
