The English letter Y is a J sound.
Take a look in Lithuania's phone book for spellings of your surnames.

JARMOL, JARMAL, JARMOKAS, JARMOLAJEVAS, JARMOLAVIC^IUS, PETRAUSKAS.
JARMOL~OWICZ would be Polish spelling. SKI and CKI would be Polish so PETRASKY is an Americanized version.
