Lewis Yarnell, born ca 1814 in Knox County, Tn, one of the seven children of Joel Yarnell and Jamima Conner. Jamima was a daughter of William Conner and Jamima Menefee, who came to Knox County from Franklin County, Va in 1799. Joel Yarnell was a son of Joseph Yarnell, early settler on Beaver Creek in Knox County.
Lewis Yarnell moved to Hamilton County, Tn in the late 1850's in a part that would become James County in 1871, and then back to Hamilton County in 1919. Near the present Harrison State Park area, I believe. I have eight children but nothing on them. Lewis is mentioned in the estste settlement of his father in Anderson Co, Tn in 1872.

Lewis' brother Joseph also move to Hamilton County before 1850.
I would like to hear from you as to where you are in the Yarnell family.
