Starting Sept. 30, 2014, Genealogy.com will be making a big change. GenForum message boards, Family Tree Maker homepages, and the most popular articles will be preserved in a read-only format, while several other features will no longer be available, including member subscriptions and the Shop.

LDS genealogy compilation

As you all know, the reason we have so much trouble finding our ancestors is that the information IS out there but in so many bits and pieces all over the place. The thing to do would be to put what you know of your family's information on:

http://www.familysearch.org/

the genealogy site of the LDS (Latter Day Saints). I'm sure we're all familiar with this site? And we know that it's free and open to everybody--not just Latter Day Saints. And if we'd just submit what we know of our family's info (that's free too) we can make this genealogy thing much easier for the next Yarnall/Yarnell who comes along looking for his/her ancestors.
