In Stonington Deeds; 8:266 dated 1768 land was sold to peter, giving half the dwelling house to Abel. In 1770, 9:44 peter deeded the other half to Rufus and mentions the first deed to "my son Abel". In 1746, recorded in 1770, from Peter to Rufus, the "brethren" of Rufus are named as"William,Zimran, Elijah, Amiziah, and Abel".
In Stonington probate records #3772, Abel and Lemuel Lamb (Related to Abel's mother)were appointed administrators of the estate in 1773. Peter's second wife, Elizabeth having declined administration.
I believe Peter's father Peter married Abeah Woodward in Wenham were she was born after Ezekiel married his second wife Elizabeth Soldart on Dec.20, 1672, his first wife, Ann Beamsley having died. Thus, Rebecca would have been about 18 when they showed up in nearby Beverly in 1693. There was a William Yar(r)ington recorded in Dover, N.H. 1680-1690, at a time when Ezekiel Woodward was also there, who may well have been Peter's father. This needs further investigation. C. T.
