Arabella Duval (YARRINGTON) HUNTINGTON (b. 1851/2 in Richmond, VA) is the daughter of Richard M. YARRINGTON & Mrs. Catherine J. (SIMMS) MADDOX, who were married 1 Apr 1839 in Richmond, VA. I suspect Richard M. YARRINGTON (b. 1807/8, MD) is the son of Richard YARRINGTON & Anna DUVALL, who were married 8 Feb 1798 in Anne Arundel Co., MD.
Arabella Duval YARRINGTON married 12 Jul 1884 to Collis Potter HUNTINGTON, one of the richest men of the 19th century. Arabella married second to Henry Edwards HUNTINGTON, nephew of Collis, who was wealthy in his own right; their combined wealth was astronomical. It was Arabella & Henry who compiled the great art and book collections and who created the lavish mansion and grounds on their San Marino estate in California, all of which was ultimately donated to the state.
