Peter Yarrington of Beverly was the first Yarrington of that line recorded in America. He appears in the Beverly Church records in 1692, but no record exists of him or his family prior to that. Tradition says his father was William, but the source saying Wm was married to a n Abeal Woodward was a mistake duplicating Peter. There were no Yarringtons born in Wales prior to 1700, but a large family in Astley, near Wochestershire, just SE of the Welsh Border. A list of all is available as "Robt. Ward's list" from PBrown@aol.com. Abeah Woodward was the Daughter of Ezeckial and his second wife Eliz. Soldart, married in Wenham, Ma. Dec. 20, 1672. He is the son of Nathanial (quite well known) and was in French and Indian War. The original Yarrington (Wm.?) may have come in to Maine/NH and then to Mass. T. Yarington
