To Joyce, The Yaugh/Yeaw/Yaw genealogy has been difficult to trace. I found the Marblehead records at St. Michael's Church under the name of Yaugh. David Yaugh was listed with his wife, Jean, and several children. In 1735 Scituate, RI Town Council records I found them listed as coming from Marblehead. Thereafter, a son, John Yeaw, my direct ancestor, was born Scituate, RI. He died Feb. 3, 1827. I found information that he married Elizabeth Smith, b, 1737 d. Aug. 30, 1824. Do you know anything more about David Yaugh and his family? There doesn't seem to be as much printed about the Yaugh/Yeaw/Yaw family as other families. My mother was born in N. Scituate, RI but was not able to give me any information about the Yeaw branch of our family. Hope this adds to your knowledge of the Yeaw family. Carolyn
