Yes, I think that Mary Reader was from Alabama, and that her father was William Reader. I did not know what her mother's name was, so thank you for the Elizabeth. We have the Nancy C. Reader in our line, and she married William M. Yaws. Evidently sisters married brothers in this case. I guess your Mary Reader married Charles Louis Yaws.
You asked about which wife was the mom of Charles Louis Yaws and according to my inf, Will married Elizabeth Reed on Oct 17, 1837 and she was the mother of all the children of Will Yaw. Her father was John Reed.
Will's first wife was Sarah Rosanna Henry, born 1811, and when they married; she had 2 daughters, one named Sarah Rosanna from a previous marriage to John Akers that was her first husband. ( I do not know the first name of the other girl.)
Now as to the reason that one of the daughters of Will and Elizabeth Reed Yaws was named Sarah Rosanna Yaws, it was customary in times past when so many wives did not survive to name the next girl child for the deceased wife as a matter of courtesy. They did not always do this, but I have heard of it before. Since Sarah Rosanna already had one daughter with her name, she probably would not want another daughter with the same name.
