Hi I have been doing some research on my GGGGG Grandparents. Amos Yeaw from Steuben Co., NY was renamed Jonas Youmans during the revolutionary war..

Jonas Youmans, Rev. War soldier, married Thankful Barber in 1780 in CT? This was found in "Record of Early CT Marriages." The trick is that Jonas was called "Humans." They moved to Delaware Co., NY, and then on to Steuben Co., NY. Jonas died in 1850, but when his children applied for a pension, there was no wife then. Some of their children were Abijah Born 1787(Gravestones of Putnam Co. NY) , James, John B., Francis, William, Isaac, and possibly Asa.

Hopefully this helps you
