William Yazel b. 1846 Allen Co, OH d. October 4, 1878 Paris, Linn Co, IA is the son of Solomon and Elizabeth Weaver Yazel. William married Martha Hall February 13, 1866 Linn Co, IA.
William served in the Civil War with the 192 Regiment of the Ohio Voluntary Infantry, Company C. He spent most of his service in a Fredericksburg hospital after falling sick at Harper's Ferry.
William and Martha Hall Yazel had a daughter named Mary Elizabeth Yazel b. 1874 Linn Co, IA who married Frederick J. Thompson August 8, 1893.
The above information is according to the Widow's Pension of Martha Hall, husband of William Yazel.
Martha Hall Yazel married Frederick S. Wing August 7, 1881.
