Hello Daniel, this is Jason Luis Ybarra. I live in Texas. I'm 27 years old. The who you are talk ing about might be my great grandfather "Luis". He died in the streets from a heart attack, I think in 1968. I'm not all that sure about the whole story, but I'll tell it as I remember it being told to me. From what I know, he didn't like to work very hard. He was a lazy man. He was a farmer. His wife Bertha, which is my great grand mother is still alive and lives her in Houston. Between the both od them they had 9 or 10 children. His son Ellis, is my grandfather. The story goes, that sometime in the late fifties or so, the drunks and winos would walk up and down the street in front of the house in which Luis lived and he would curse and make fun of the drunks passing. He would say that they need to get a job or I would never be like that. Well, some time in theearly sixties, he became a drunk himself. It was so bad that Bertha kicked him out of his own home for stealing food or anything for money so that way he could buy beer or what ever he was drinking. It got to the point where he would drink aftershave just to get high. Well any way, he become a bum on the streets. My grandfather told me that he would go and look for his father to give him money for food. All the other bums on the street knew my great grand father as Frank. I guess he was ashamed to bare his real name. Well, one day they said he got cornered in an alleyway with the police and they beat him very badly. He had a bad head injury and was never the same. He died of a heart attack shortly after this al happened. I'm not sure if he died on the streets alone. But it's a sad story.
