Yeager Family in 1870 Grenada Co, MS. & Polk connection

I am looking for any info on this family and the young woman named: AMERICUS/AMERICA POLK age 16 in the above listed home during the census for 1870. This person is incorrectly listed as a male.
It is not known why she was farmed-out to family?/or friends. America had a brother named Daniel who would of been born in the late 1840's. It has been thought that their father may of been named Eli or a longer version of this name. It is poss. that these children were orphaned by the 1860-70 census.
America Polk, was my GrGrandmother. I don't have much info on her before the 1870's.
Nothing more is known of her family.
Any assistance would be GREAT!
I have been at this same point for years....HELP!!!

Thanks,
Karen
