Karen Bortman,

It's been a long time since you requested information and I may not have anything to help, but I'll try.

My wife is a Yeagley whose family came from Germany before the Revolutionary war. A great uncly, George Yeagley, of Reading, PA put together an ancestorial document that mentioned the ship they came to America on in something like 1743, landing in Philadelphia and being taken by foot to Lebadon County by Conrad Weiser who was ffriendly with the indians. He said that George Washington bodyguards were all German because he felt he couldn't trust English to be truly anti-Britian.

Let me know if this gets thru to you and maybe I can find more information. Call me at 215-675-1720 or e-mail me at donelee@verizon.net.

Donald E. Lee
