Hello to the Yearout's on-line. I just found out about this service yesterday from my son, Jason, who is presently attending William & Mary Law School in Williamsburg, Virginia.

My family lineage is as follows: I am the son of Jack Yearout and was born in Wellington, Kansas, in 1952. Jack Yearout, born in Milan, Kansas, in 1930, is the second son of Harry (1906-1956) and Alma Stocking Yearout (1906-1976). Harry Yearout, born near Milan, Kansas, was the only son (fifth child) of James Charles (1874-1956) and Minnie Belle Nuttle Yearout. James Charles Yearout, born in Missouri, was the youngest son of John Joseph (1826-1894) and Joanna Symerley Yearout. John Joseph Yearout, who served in the Civil War with the 2nd Tenn. Cav. Co H, was the second son (fourth child of six)of John (1795-?) and Polly Raulston Yearout. John Yearout, who was born in Staunton, Virginia, served in the War of 1812 and built the family home in Maryville, Tenn., was the first son and first child (of a total of seven children) of Abraham (1768 -1845) and Susanna Burkett Yearout. Abraham Yearout was the son of Charles James Yearout, who was the first generation in America.

This information came from information obtained from another Kansas branch in South Haven, Kansas. Some of the questions and comments I've read posted on this site can be connected to information in my report, but there is a lot I don't have.

I have a photograph taken about 1893 or 1894 showing John Joseph and Joanna Symerley Yearout and most of their children, including my great-grandfather. I've been told this was taken at their home in Hunnewell, Kansas. I've got it on diskette and would be glad to e-mail it to anyone interested. There are many other Yearout descendant's in this area who would be helpful in filling out other gaps.

I would be interested in the larger and more complete geneology report mentioned in several postings. Where can this be obtained? Please e-mail me or post it here.
