A most interesting but confusing family.

I am a bit puzzled that Edna Yearout Stinnett was born in 1848, yet, unless I have a wrong date, William Stinnett and Harriett Yearout did not marry until 1849. William and Harriett were enumerated in the 1850 census, but Edna, who would have been 2 years of age, is not present. Perhaps there is another William and Harriett Stinnett also residing in Blount Co. in 1850?

Is Edna the only child attributed to William and Harriett?

The only census I have been able to find Edna is in 1900. She lists herself as single with 7 children, 7 living. I'm missing one of her seven children. I have Lemuel 1865, James Calvin 1868, Mary Alice 1880, Harriett Emma 1884, Lillie E. 1887 and Robert Franklin 1890. Looks like Edna was 17 when she had her first child, Lemuel. I have to assume that the child I am missing was born between James and Mary during the 1870's.
