We heard that Mary Emaline was previously married to either a Proctor or a Yearwood. We weren't sure which was her maiden name. I don't know anything about Hiram Proctor, nor their children. However, the 1880 census for Gilmer Co, GA shows our William Watson was married to Mary with a 15 y.o. stepson William listed in his household. Mary and William Watson had 5 children (I'm descended from Charles Perry b.12/15/1875 in Cobb Co, GA; m. 10/4/1896 to Minnie Peeler in Clarke Co, GA; d. 8/8/1960 and is buried in Oconee Hills Cemetery) (Victoria "Vick" b. 7/1879 in GA; m. abt 1898; d. Covington, Newton Co, GA) (Fanny b. 1881 in Oglethorpe Co?; m. 7/4/1897 in Clarke Co, GA; d. 1905 in Bogart, Oconee Co, GA); (Joe b. aft 1884); (Della Maggie b. 9/11/1884 in Forsyth Co, GA; m. 6/8/1901 in Oconee Co, GA; d. 1/1/1960 in Winder, Barrow Co, GA)
William Watson was b. 4/17/1818 in Cobb Co, GA and d. 6/15/1903 in Oconee Co, GA (buried at Ray's Methodist Church). William's father was born in Virginia and his mother in SC. We can't find where Mary was buried. We'll check next with the Yearwoods in Jackson County since some of the "clan" moved there.
