Alright you Yearwood descendents in TN I need to ask a question. Has any of you ever known or seen anything that would say that your John Yearwood's middle name was Benjamin? We know that John was born June 6, 1762 in Halifax, VA and died 1847 in TN. We also know that he was in the 1790 Lincoln Co., NC Census as John Earwood. We did not have a John listed in the 1800 Census but we did have a Benjamin listed in 1800 and as far as I know this Benjamin has not been seen since. We also know that John was selling his land in 1804 in preparation for moving to TN and another aquantance of mine has seen a land record about 1804 that had his name as John B. Earwood. We feel sure that his name was John Benjamin Earwood/Yearwood. Lets hear some comments. Bill
