Earwood/Yearwood/Erwood Convention

Hey folks since there is a little space on the forum to discuss it how would everyone like to have one nationwide or two regional family conventions/reunions? Does anyone have a good central location in the eastern half or one in the western half or one in the middle? I think it would be grand if one could be held in the eastern half, say western Tennessee or Ohio and then one held somewhere in the west. I know David Beard from Texas would love the idea because we here in NC have one yearly but it consists mainly of one local Earwood family and there is only a couple of us that is into genealogy. The problem with the local one is the people show up just before eating time and leave as soon as the door prizes are given out and the genealogy bunch has nobody left but themselves to try and get info from. I am not in a position that I could get one together but maybe someone does. It should be a multi-day event with the meal/meals catered and there should be lodging relatively close. It would certainly have to be paid for in advance and no funds returned for any reason. I am sure that the ones that are into the family genealogy would be interested in this happening in the future. In order to get it up and running we would need to make sure there is enough interest by talking it out on the forum and we would probably need to have a "start-up fee" collected all that was interested. It might be possible to get going and be able to have it anually. This is just a thought. Mull it around in your mind and place your comments on the forum. Bill
