Yes I've discovered their marriage date sense that Post.

Mahala YEARWOOD was the 2nd spouse of Gabriel (G J) NEWMAN Died sometime between Feb and Aug, 1870. She bore a son listed as born abt. Feb, 1870 in the August Census Cherokee County, TX. Mahala Yearwood bore Gabriel 3 children, Robert, Marietta, and Eugene. Robert is last found in Census 1930, Torrance County, NM. I haven't located Marietta or Eugene.

Gabriel J NEWMAN married a 3rd spouse, Sarah Emeline Guin, 10 Feb 1871, Cherokee County, TX. They had 5 children.

Gabriel NEWMAN died May, 1880 prior to the June Census.
"Texas 1880 Mortality Schedule lists "Gab" as being 46 years old. Died of Typhoid-Pneumonia..." Gabe was born abt 1831, VA was actually 49.
