Hello John;

Your post in 2001 mentioned Dr Yearwood of Shreveport, LA. I knew him and his family well, as a child raised in Shreveport. Dr J. Garnet Yearwood, DDS, wife Inez. And I knew that he had relatives in Georgia. My parents were close friends with them, perhaps through some civic club like the YMCA or the Y's Mens' Club.

Their daughter Beverly Yearwood was a good friend, though a year younger than I (she would have been born in 1937.) They also had a son, Scott, born about 1940 (give-or-take a year or two). We all attended C. E. Byrd High School in Shreveport.

Beverly married a David Smith, and they lived for a while in either Minnesota or Wisconsin in the 1960's, but I have had no contact for 40+ years. My reason for writing is also to try to find Beverly, to reminisce and compare old notes.

Maybe this will give you some helpful clues.

Marian Beddill
(born W M Redditt)
