Yearwood/Earwood DNA?

We need a Yearwood/Earwood DNA project! I would really like to know what the male line haplogroups are. My daddy's line connects to Andrew Jackson Yearwood and Sarah Sandal Carroll of VA and GA. I want to know if there is truth to the rumor of Native American in my (Y)Earwood line. The name changed on our end at John Oliver. He is listed in Census records as Yearwood until 1900. Some of his children stuck with the Earwood spelling after that, such as his son Starling Hezekiah Earwood(now that's a name!)Also wanting to know about a possible Melungeon connection. What about Sephardic ancestors? Family Tree DNA or 23 and Me are good companies. I have used familytreedna.com with good results - just can't check my dad's line as my dad is desceased. Please let me know if any of you have tested. Thanx cuzuns! :)
