There was a Martin Earwood listed in a Rowan Co., NC tax list in I believe something like 1768 or something and nothing else has ever been seen on him since. I think that he was the husband of Mary the widow listed with John, William and Thomas in the 1790 Federal Census of Lincoln Co., NC. I am all but positive that the Martin/Mary is our line and feel confident that some how John and William are the two that ended up in Sweetwater Valley, TN. Some of their records agree with some of the NC stuff and some doesn't. Thomas was in SC and GA I think. I havn't been able to find anything to get to Charleston, SC on any of them. One thing that I did find while researching Floyds was there was an inventory done for a Floyd will in VA, I don't have the county right now, and a Thomas Earwood was helping with the inventory. This was in 1723 and Thomas was even listed in the index. This is the earliest thing I have seen on any Earwood/Yearwood. Bill
