I believe the two marriages that you have are for the same Elias. Only I have the first marriage as Caroline Turner, rather than Mary Ella E. F. Turner, as you show.The part of Blount County where the Turners lived became Cullman County in 1877. Caroline was a sister of my wife's g-g-grandfather Robert William Turner. Their oldest brother, Obediah T. Turner, married a Mariah Yeilding in Blount County in 1864 (Taylor Yeilding was the bondsman).
Elias and Caroline are known to have had
four children: Ada L. Yeilding (b 1872-1873, m John O. PADEN), William L. Yeilding (b 1873-1874), John T. Yeilding (b 1876), and Doctor B. Yeilding (b 1878). Caroline appears to have died 1878-1880 since Elias married Mary S. F. BROWN in Apr 1880. The John O. Paden family and the William L. Yeilding family were still in Blount Co., AL, in 1900. I have not found Elias or the rest of his family after 1880.
Obediah Turner and his wife, Mariah, were in Cullman Co., AL, in 1880 and are known to have had one child, John O. N. (or Owen?), b abt 1876. Mariah may have died 1880-1884, since O. T. TURNER m Sarah T. CAMPBELL on 3 Aug 1884 in Cullman County. I don't know what became of Obediah's family after 1884.
