Hi Cousins: I have recently joined the Perry Co.Ar Genealogy Society and discovered a group of wemen are researching the Thournburg Comunity where my grand father and grandmother James Wesley and Zella Yielding lived at the loging camp when first married. They lived at the Handy Place. Mary Yielding Handy, Jims sister and husband Albert Handy lived there also before 1910. I am so excited as we are compileing pictures and information on the loging camp.I will put it on the Yielding/Yeilding page when I get it togather. There will probably be names some of you will recognize as many from Alabama moved here with the loging industry at the turn of the century. When the loging of virgin tember played out many familys moved to Texas, Ok; Cal, and some back to Al.
