I married a Yeilding and have three children. They are descended from Francis Yeilding, the brother of Volna. In addition, I am in close contact with a grandson of Volna and Lafayette. Volna lived with him and his parents until she died. He doesn't remember what year she came to live with them.Noone in the household was allowed to mention Lafayette's name.He also has a tracing of the gravestone of Lafayette in Lebanon Cemetery, Blount County, AL which states 1852-February 20, 1887 and has this inscription,"Mark the perfect man and behold the upright for the end of that man is peace". If the death date is correct, he could not have been the spouse of Martha Jane Danley. However, the grandson suspects that this date is deliberately incorrect. He was never able to get anyone on the Hanna or Yeilding side to answer any questions about his grandfather. Also states that Lafayette Sr. had a brother named Frank. Lafayette and Volna had three children, Frank, about whom nothing is known(possibly died young),Dr. Henry Pierce Hanna,b. Oct. 13, 1885, and Lafayette R. Hanna,April 30, 1887, his own father. I have the Yeildings with most children and dates from Richard J. to my children's generation. Let me know if I can be of further help or if you find out any more about Lafayette.
