Found your name on the web site I have posted messages in the past, but with the 1901 census being avaliable I thought I would see if you had any further information on your side of the Yeldons that could possibly link in with mine.
Ihave managed to create a database of the yeldons yaldons yeildings etc in the 1901 census however, I cannot find a Gerald (under any of the spelling variations). Do you have a date of birth for him? or was he possibly known as something else or would you know any sibblings /parents?

IVE enclosed a list of my Yeldons as they appear in the 1901 census my fathers father was Reginald.

3681531       Charles       Yeldon       37       PlymouthDevon       Exeter       Devon
3681532       Emily       Yeldon       36       Exmouth       Devon       Exeter       Devon
3681533       Mabel       Yeldon       14       Exeter       Devon       Exeter       Devon
3681534       ReginaldYeldon       11       Exeter       Devon       Exeter       Devon
3681535       William       Yeldon       8       Exeter       Devon       Exeter       Devon
3681536       Gladys       Yeldon       6       Exeter       Devon       Exeter       Devon
3681537       Evelyn       Yeldon       4       Exeter       Devon       Exeter       Devon
3681538       Ivy       Yeldon       1       Exeter       Devon       Exeter       Devon

Emilys maiden name was Densham, she worked as a newsagent and Charles was a cabbinet maker.Charles's father was Arthur born in Hampshire around 1811.However was not on the 1901 census so presume he was dead.
Arthur married Mary Elliott in Devon and had at least 4 children. One being Charles and another called William Arthur Yeilding plus 2 girls Annie and Elizabeth. Arthurs father was a william according to his marriage certificate.Although at birth charles was registered as Yeilding it was changed to Yeldon later on.
It would be nice to try and link the families together.
