I am posting this from the following book:

YIELDING,JOHN BLOUNT CO.AL
Buried: Blount Co. AL in an old cemetery near Rainbow Crossing. A government marker has been placed in Oak Hill Cemetery in Blount Co. (Oneonta)
Service: Served under Gen. Nathaniel Greene in the Carolina Campaign and was present at the Yorktown surrender. He came to Blount Co. AL in 1816 with MASTON MEDE, his brother in law and settled near Rainbow Crossing.
