I always heard my Aunt call them the "Yankee Yelvingtons" Our best guess is these are cousins who came over after John Yelverton, and started a northern branch of the family. I have a few additions for you NY marriages:
Yelverton Abijah, and Margaret Dunning Feb 4 1769.
Yelverton Anthony, and Phebe Youngs, Dec 23, 1758.
Yelvington Elisabeth, and Roeluf Ostrum, May 23, 1761
maybe some cousin out there knows who the folks are. Dave
