Interred in the Concrete Cemetery, Guadalupe County, Texas are the following: Rufus Figh, 1832 - 1888. Rufus Figh was married to a Yelvington. Other members of the Yelvington Family buried here are: Catherine Lee Yelvington 1826 - 1907; Henry Yelvington 1821 - 1893; Katherine Stevenson 1858 - 1915; Alfred R. Stevenson 1856 - 1902. There is a lovely memorial in the Yelvington Section of the cemetery placed there by Katherine Stevenson.
I am the historian for the old Concrete Cemetery (established in 1856) and would like to know more about the Yelvington Family. They were very active in the early Baptist Church of La Vernia, Texas. The cemetery association just recently placed a marker on the grave of Rufus Figh. His wife is not buried here.
Would like to correspond with members of this Yelvington Family.
