My family line is Yarger, I can't prove it yet but it appears that the names Yarger, Yerger, Yorger all stem from Yoerger. They were Germans that lived in the western part of the country. They settled in Penn. in the 1700s and over the next 100 years the spelling of the name changed which was common in those days. Hope that helps a little.
