My gggg grandfather was Joseph B. Yarger b. 1781 PA? d. September 29 1872, Brushcreek, OH. He married Mary Rebecca? b. 1783 d. May 16 1867. They had 9 children and their line continues to present. I and my father before me have been stuck at Joseph for years. I know the derivation of the Yarger name makes it difficult to research. But I have tried Yurger, Yerger, Yoerger, Yeager, Joerger, Jurger, Jerger, Jorger, Jarger, and others and have not been able to come up with anything. There is a land record that puts Joseph in Ohio by 1810. However census records say that He was born in PA and the two oldest children were also born in PA. If anyone can offer some assistance--I'm all ears.
