Starting Sept. 5, 2014, Genealogy.com will be making a big change. GenForum message boards, Family Tree Maker homepages, and the most popular articles will be preserved in a read-only format, while several other features will no longer be available, including member subscriptions and the Shop.

My ggrandfather was John M YERGER, born 1855 died 1944, son of John and Sophia MILLER YERGER. They were married in New Hanover 1844 and had a son Milton, also. Sophia died in 1863 and so the family was split up in the 1870 census, mostly as servants and farm workers. Don't have much any further back, but I do know that there were supposedly 4 brothers who came over from Germany (not together) - Veit, Martin, Peter and John. Hope there's a connection.
