civil war Gibler buried on Yoakum farm.
Just recently learned of Daniel Gibler Co. K 107 ILL Inf enrolled 11 Aug 1862 and died 07 Nov 1862 in Elizabethtown KY.
A notice June 03, 1897 stated "an old soldier named Gibler was buried on Yoakum farm"It was almost unknown till someone knew the place.Major Wood with other veterans brought the remains to the village cemetery. Cerro Gordo.
He is buried next to Morgan Gibler who died in 1887.Does anyone know the Yoakum Gibler/Givler/Kibler connection?Yes, I know I can check census record - but it will not let me know why they allowed him to be buried on their farm.Thank you. Charlotte
