My wife's mother was a Yoast. Anyone connect to this line?
1) Israel Yoast b. ca. 1850 m. Frances Emick
2) Jacob Haines Yoast b. 8-24-1884 Camden NJ m. Anna Mae Bennett
3) Jacob Bennett Yoast b. 1-31-1909 Philadelphia PA m. Shirley Scavron
4) Barbara Jean Yoast m. Michael Bloomgarden (my wife's parents)
We have nothing earlier than Israel, and in fact don't know where in PA he was born. I've wondered if he was one of the Lancaster Co. Pennsylvania Dutch Yost/Josts -- Frances Emick was the daughter of John Emick of York Co. and he's pretty certainly tied in with the German/Swiss Emichs.
Any help out there? We're happy to trade information.
