Ginger: I can't help you on Alberta but I can set you straight on the name Yohe. Our roots were Germany and the name was originally JOH but pronounced Yoh. There was basicALLY 3 migrations, a Johan Jerg Joh in 1737, two brothers and a cousin in 1749 and several relatives a few years later; two of which were named Michael and have confused a lot of researchers. The spelling was changed when they registered in Philadelphia with the British government at that time and pronouciaction varies to this day. Western Pennsylvania seemed to have attracted many of the Yohes, especially in and around Jefferson County. If you try the Ancestry message board and read many of the older posts you'll learn lots of interesting things and quite possibly connect with someone of your lineage. Good luck. Gary
