Maria Yongue, daughter of Samuel W. Youngue, was born in 1792 in Fairfield Co. S.C. She married Dr. Jack Shackelford of Va. and moved to Courtland, AL where both are now buried. I am the GGG grandson. We are trying to establish who Maria's siblings were. From the postings it might appear that Samuel Henry and Alexander William Yongue may have been brothers, but recent postings on this site are the first we have heard of them. We are also interested in their connection to the Bones family of Winnsboro as we have many letters dating from 1820 between Maria's daughter, Harriet Shackelford in Alabama, and Melinda Bones in Winnsboro. They refer to each other as cousins. There are several references to Aunt and Uncle Cater. Please share any information you might have, and we will gladly share what we have learned.
