Yongue is not my line, but for anyone that might be interested, my 3greatuncle William David Calhoun sold property in the territory of Arkansas to John L. Yongue. This was property that David Calhoun acquired as payment for his service in the War of 1812. It was 160 acres "northwest of section twenty seven of township nine in range five west" This was purchased for the sum of $300.00, signed and witnessed "in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and twenty one in the forty fifth year of American Independence. Signed by William Calhoun Witnessed by Sam McKeown, James Wylie Recorded the 7th of January, 1822.
Hopefully this will be of use to some of you - This all took place in the state of South Carolina, District of Fairfield. Irma
