I am looking for information about the family of Eleazer James Youmans son of David J Youmans and Sarah Ann Wood. If anyone is a decendant of this line or can tell me when Eleazer and his wives died, I'd appreciate it.
Here's what I have been able to piece together. Eleazer (who sometimes is called James in the census) married Jane Andrews in Belmont in 1857 and they moved to Michigan with his parents and siblings around 1868. In 1870 they were in Atlas Twp, Genesee Co . Between 1870 and 1880 Jane died and he remarried to a Hannah [.?..]. In 1880, Eleazer and Hannah are in Tuscola Co living beside his parents. In 1910 Eleazer is a widower in Otsego with a daughter.
Eleazer and Jane seem to have had at least 5 children:
Mary born abt 1859 in Canada
David born abt 1861 in Canada
Joseph born abt 1865 in Canada
William b abt 1868 in Michigan
Catherine b 1870 in Atlas twp Genesee Co Michigan.
From what I've been able to see Mary married Charles C King Dec 31 1878 in Tuscola Co. and had children George b 1879 and Alta b 1891.
David married (Lettie?) abt 1882 and had no children. They were in Tuscola in 1900 and in Midland in 1910,1920 and 1930.
Joseph I'm not sure about. There is a Joseph who married a Elizabeth and they are in Lansing, Ingham Co in 1920. In 1930 he is a widower in Ogemaw. They had at least 2 children,- Bessie b abt 1889 who married and divorced [??]Leach and had chidlren Alta May and Clarence Eldon.
- and Judson b abt 1898 who married Myrtle.
William is in Otsego Co in 1900 married to Ellen, no children. In 1910 they are in Emmet Co and in 1930 they are in Bay City, Bay Co.
Catherine married Chancy Towns in 1886 in Tuscola. They had no children. They are in Midland in 1900, Otsego in 1910 with Kate's father Eleazer, in Midland in 1920 and 1930.
