Dear Mr. Fuller,
If your information and mine be correct, we are third cousins. Charles Fuller is my great great grandfather. I come down from your great grandfather Sidney's brother Martin Edward Fuller. I went to your site and gathered that you are a North Dakotan. According to my late grandfather Fuller's records, his parents "remov[ed] in 1885 to a farm eight miles east of Hope, No.Dak., returning to Illinois in 1891." They had four children, "all born at the home of their maternal grandparents in Bloomington, Ills.", of whom one was my grandfather. One child, Floyd Brooks Fuller, born September 4, 1884, died on March 11, 1886, "near Hope, No.Dak."
I have the names of our great grandfathers' brothers and sisters, which I shall gladly share with you and anything else that I may have that you don't. Right now I am, among other matters, trying to establish that our great great great great grandmother Judith Buel Fuller was the daughter of Joseph and Anna Submit Colton Buell (who happen to be forebears on my mother's side as well through the Kibbe family). I am also interested in finding out anything about our great great great grandfather John Griffin, Charles Fuller's father-in-law. Do you know anything about his origins? My grandfather notes that he was of Scotch-Irish descent.
I am reading a book right now that I recently ordered from Higginson Book Company on the Youmans-Yeamans family in case I may learn anything about our great great great great great grandmother Abigail Youmans Fuller, the typing of whose name on Google gave me the site which brought me to your posting. Five-great grandfather James Fuller was most assuredly born in Newton-Cambridge, Massachusetts; however, I am reasonably certain that James and Abigail Fuller's children were born after he had relocated to Ashford, Connecticut, of which he is listed as a landowner in, I think, the year of our aunt Dinah's birth, 1718. (This I have from a small history of Ashford, which I ordered by mail from the library there. I have somewhere a copy of the deed, which I obtained from the same library.) The history of Union, Connecticut (of which I have a copy, also) has James as buying land in that place in, I believe, 1734. I do not know where Abigail was born or whether she comes down from any of the Youmans-Yeamans families listed in Savage's Genealogical Dictionary of New England.
I am going to try to write you by e-mail in case you do not get to this posting any time soon, at which time my e-mail address will appear. If you respond to me on this posting directly, it will go to my wife's e-mail address, but she, enjoying family history as much as I, will notify me post haste. You are only the second Fuller kinsman with whom I have made contact, the other, recently, a descendant of our four-great grandfather Isaac's brother Joseph Buel Fuller. I have no Fuller cousins near as my grandfather may be the only one to have come to the South.

Sincerely yours,
Bill Fuller
