Dear Janice,

After typing a reply to your response on Kathy's address (She had forwarded your note to my box.) and (I thought) sending it so that you might have my e-mail address, I noticed instructions that said that I could not so reply. I wanted you to have my address and also tell you that the message had come through (before I had come hither to this site) because we are having such trouble with the Internet this morning (We keep getting kicked off!) and shortly we shall be leaving for an out-of-town funeral, from which we shan't return until tonight. Also, having dial-up keeps us from checking our e-mail so often as we might like, especially when this room is occupied by our grandson.

I've printed out your message so that I can go back to my records for specific things to which you referred. I have what I think is your e-mail address and may try it and ask you just to reply and let me know for sure. I use the computer sparingly, primarily for this sort of thing and visitations to virtueOnline.

We are both so pleased to get your reply, O fellow Texan. I am NOT Isaac Fuller's only descendant in the South after all. (I do have sisters and their families nearby and two cousins on the Fuller [my late father's late sister's sons] side who are at least also in Texas.)

Before I go, I will say now that, yes, Judith Buel was married to our four-great grandfather Isaac Fuller, copies of his application for a pension (for service in the militia during the War of Independence) I obtained down at the George Memorial Library in Richmond, Texas. (She had long since died; after his death, it was his second (third?) wife Elizabeth Chamberlain Fuller who reapplied for the pension after his death on Christmas Day, 1836. (I think that that is the correct year.) I'll check my records to see whether our great great great grandfather Oliver had a brother named Isaac, Jr. The name appears several generations up the line as well. (I have copied of the wills of our seven-great grandfather John and of our eight-great grandfather John, who was born in England, the first of our line of Fullers to arrive in New England.

I must go. I will try that address. Again, whether I get through there or not, it may be a day or two before I get back to you; but please know that it is not lack of interest. I have no doubt that we are third cousins.

Sincerely yours,
Bill Fuller
