I believe this would be my ancestor Jonathan Youmans, born 28 Aug 1764 in Clarkstown, Rockland Co., NY, and a member of the Tappan/Clarkstown Dutch Reformed Church. Jonathan married first Elizabeth De Grauw in Clarkstown DRC on 20 Dec 1786 and fathered John J. Youmans, amongst others. Jonathan later married Mary (aka Margaritta) Fischer, same church, on 15 May 1808.

Jonathan was the son of Jonathon Youmans, and a descendant of Christopher Youmans of England. Christopher, I believe was a Puritan who landed in the Massachusetts Colony and from there moved to Long Island and was one of the early settlers there. Of course I haven't looked up the copyright registration for possible verification. That might take a trip to DC.
