Clara Yonker [Yunker] was living in the home of Clara Meyer (described as her aunt)in 1900 - Her "aunt" was really Clara Wunderley Scwhartz Shaefer Meyer (married 3 times).
Her first husband was "Frank Schwartz" of Sheboygan b. 1825 "master builder" who died prior to 1870.Frank Schwartz and Clara were married in 1852 (perhaps later) and had three children, 1) Frances or Fannie Scwartz,b. 1859 2)Charles Schwartz, b. 1856 and 3) Eddy or Edward Schwartz b. 1865; Clara's parents were Swiss and she was reportedly born in Tiffin, Ohio around 1835, "Clara Wunderley". She married secondly "Reinold Shaefer" before 1870 a "beer peddler" and divorced him in Sheboygan before 1880.She thirdly married "Joseph Meyer" of Sheboygan before 1900.
In 1880 "Fanny Young" b. 1876 "a neice" age 4 was living in her household
1900 "Clara Yonker" b. 1886 "a neice" age 4 was living in her household
I am very interested in finding out the connection between the Meyer family and Clara.
In 1855 Frank Schwartz went to Cleveland (from Sheboygan) and adopted "Nicholas Meyer" who was 5 years old and "a relative" - Nicholas Meyer was born in 1848 and his parents perished in an epidemic in Cleveland in 1854.We have adoption papers.Nicholas lived with the Schwartz family until he was "13" when he left - around 1863.
Your "Frances Meyer" could be 1) sister of Joseph Meyer her third husband.Or the Meyer family could have been related to "Frank Schwartz".Interested in who were the parents of Frances Meyer Yonker and if any of these people married a "young".
