John Yount b. 1806 - Upper Saucon, Lehigh Co., PA
The 1850 Census for Upper Saucon, Lehigh Co., PA contains the following listing:

Joseph Youndt age 18 b. 1832 PA
Mary Youndt age 14 b. 1836 PA
Sarah Youndt age 10 b. 1840 PA
This same family can be found in the Census listings for the same location under John Young in 1830, John Yundt in 1840, John Youndt in 1850, John Yount in 1860, John Yundt in 1870, and John Youndt in 1880.
George C. Yount b. 1744 with his wife Eva Catherine Knauss b. 1750 and their family settled in this area of Northampton Co. which was later to become Lehigh County before 1772. They had 5 sons namely John b. 1774, Daniel b. 1776, Abraham b. 1780, George C. b. 1784 and Henry b. 1788. George C. Yount's descendants are listed under Yound,Youndt,Yond,Yount etc. in the Census listings for Lehigh Co. for the period 1830 to 1860 and to my knowledge are the only Yount families to live in this County during this time. Although none of George C. Yount's descendants actually lived in Upper Saucon Twp. it still seems logical that the John Yount b. 1806 that did live there must be related. I have reviewed the family trees for all of George C. Yount's sons and there is no place in them or in the Census listings of these Yount families for a John Yount b. 1806 to fit in. Anyone have any ideas?
