I have found a Maciej Zabawski who came to America with Petranela Granadawska(my grandmother) and Jan Gerfert. They arrived at Ellis Island on the ship Grosser Kurfurst from Bremen on 14 June 1905. Their destination was Andrzej Gerfert in Wilkes-Barres,Pa. Andrzej is the father of Jan and uncle to both Maciej and Petronela. Could your Michael be Maciej?
