Interested in sharing info with others working on the Zabel family in Mensfelden, Hessen-Nassau. My ancestor Peter Zabel had a daughter, Anna Dorothea Zabel, who married Johann Heinrich Deusser in 1728 as his second wife. Their son, Johann Jacob Deusser (1728-1794) married in 1751 to Maria Dorothea Scheidt (d/o Johann Adam Scheidt & Anna Catharina Girm). Some of their descendants settled in Charlestown, Clark Co, Indiana, in 1834, and later some removed to Louisville, Kentucky.
