Hi Brenda
I have Marias mother as a Wyntje [Lavina]Hopper who married a Jacob Zabriskie. The name Zabriskie is very common in Bergan Co as they were early settler there. My info came from the Paramus DRC in Ridgewood. It appears there was a Maria born to Jacob Zabriskie and Wyntje. Since Maria names a daughter Lavina I am have her named after grandmother which seems to be the case in the families of that day. I would appreciate help and to work with you in reg. to this family. Please email me at sekkes@snip.net. Thanks for your reply.
Liz
