I researched the 1920 and 1930 U.S. Census looking for my grandfather, Fritz Zacharias, who immigrated from Germany in 1904 and settled in McGregor, Texas. The Waco Library had only microfiche records at that time. I did discover a Fritz Zacharias and family living in Shiner. I am fairly sure there was no relationship with my grandfather. I have traced his ancestors to Posen when it was part of the German Empire and is now in Poland. With help from my cousins living in Germany today, I have info about his father and grandfather as well as his brohers and sisters.
