Anna Dora Zacharias was probably by paternal grandmother's (Clara B. Zacharias) half-sister. According to my records, Dora's parents were Heinrich A. Zacharias and Lena Herchankahn. Their children included Dora, Lena, Marie, William, a twin sister (probably of William who died at 6 weeks), Albert, and Henry. While I only knew my Great Aunt Marie (she always called during Sunday dinner at my Grandmother's), I can remember by grandmother talking about Dora and Lena. I believe Lena died from bone cancer in the late 50s.

My grandmother's parents were Heinrich A. Zacharias and Anna Holtzfoester. Children from this marriage included by grandmother, Clara B. (born May 4, 1899, West Liberty, OH) and her sister Nora.

Heinrich born March 9, 1858, Neirnburg, Germany; died January 1939, Marysville, Ohio.

Heinrich's father and mother were August Phillip George Zacharias and Fredrika Anna Meier. (Bookbinder) August George Philip Zacharias born 1836 in Banthelm, Nordstemmen, died in Niernburg Germany 1872. Married Friedarika Anna Meier, born 1836 in Neirnburg, died there Jan. 1866. Children were Charles Zacharias, Elenora Dorthea and Heinrich.

August's parents were John Frederick Zacharias and Henrietta Dorthea Kammano. (Manservant) John Fredrick Zacharias, born 1790 died 1850.

Also, for some reason my grandmother always claimed her initials were ABCZ for Anna Barbara Clara Zacharias ... and I seem to recall seeing somewhere in our family history a family where all the girls had first names that began with Anna.

Believe we are connected. Let me know what you have.

Regards to a potential relative!
